All shipments within the contiguous USA are free!
Whenever possible, we use UPS to ship to our customers. However, due to the size and weight of the products we carry, most shipments are made using a common freight carrier. When your order is shipped, you will be notified of the carrier and will have the opportunity to arrange the delivery directly with the carrier. At the time of the scheduled delivery, customers will need to be present to sign for the delivery. The shipping company will not leave the products unless someone is present to inspect and sign for the products delivered.
Our standard delivery includes delivering the furniture to your curbside. It does not include bringing the furniture inside your home, or removing the packaging. Upgraded delivery services, such as inside delivery, etc. are available for an additional charge and may be arranged directly with the carrier. The cost of these services is the responsibility of the customer and The Furniture Patio assumes no responsibility for these services or additional charges.
Shipping dates will be based on product and material availability. In-stock items typically ship out within 5 - 10 business days, particularly in the spring and summer, when demand is heaviest. Our vendors strive to maintain sufficient inventory to fulfill all orders on a timely basis, however, we can make no representations or warranties regarding shipping dates. Occasionally, due to the popularity of an item, a product may be unavailable or backordered until additional inventory is received. This happens very rarely, and when it does, you will be notified immediately by one of our customer service representatives.
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada
Our free shipping offer applies only to the lower 48 U.S. states. We are happy to ship to Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada, however, additional shipping charges will be required. Please contact us prior to placing your order to receive a shipping quote, if you would like for us to ship to AK, HI, or Canada. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes. Non-standard shipping surcharges will apply to isolated service areas or areas not readily accessible by deliver vehicle, as defined the shipping company. These situations are rare (less than 1% of deliveries).
At this time, we do not offer international shipping.
Damages & Exchanges
Your satisfaction is our top priority. We sell only the finest quality products from reputable manufacturers, so we rarely have problems with any of our products. But if your item is damaged or defective in some way, we'll make sure you are taken care of. Most of our products are backed by a manufacturer's warranty.
Please be sure to inspect all shipments thoroughly upon receipt. Make clear notations of any shipping damage on the freight bill/delivery receipt at the time of delivery and notify us immediately (within 24 hours) via phone or email of any damage issues. If your product was damaged during shipping, upon notification to us and confirmation by us that you have followed our procedures, we will help you get the replacement parts you need or arrange for total replacement of the product at no cost to you. Please do not refuse the shipment, as it will result in additional charges to you.
If an item is damaged during shipment, please keep all packaging materials and the damaged products until the claim is resolved. We may require pictures to document the damage and substantiate a claim to the freight carrier.
Please find your specific situation for the list of scenarios below to learn how we handle that particular situation:
1. You Decide to Cancel Your Order
You may cancel your order any time before it ships and we will issue you a refund with no penalty. Please note that some of our products leave the warehouse the next day and others may take a number of weeks. Orders that have already entered the shipping pipeline cannot be cancelled. If you cancel after this point, or refuse a delivery, your situation will be handled according to situation 5 below.
To cancel an order, please contact us by email or phone immediately, as it is critical to cancel your order on a timely basis in order to avoid additional charges.
2. You Received the Product but the Product is not Working Correctly, Is Missing Parts, or is Visibly Damaged or Deformed
If the item isn't working correctly, and it does not appear to have been damaged during shipping, please see the paperwork that came in the original box for instructions on how to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer. The manufacturer is responsible for any manufacturing defects or deficiencies with its products. (If the item is damaged or defective due to shipping damages, please see situation 3 directly below.)
3. You Received an Item that Appears to have been Damaged During Shipping
If a package appears to have been damaged during shipping, the items is oftentimes still okay. If the packaging for your item appears to be damaged, be sure to keep all the original packaging until you've determined whether or not a shipping insurance claim needs to be submitted. If any of the original packaging is thrown away, we cannot file a shipping insurance claim. Discarding shipping materials or box contents waives your right to get your product replaced or repaired. Before contacting us, please test the item's functionality. If everything works okay, there is no reason to contact us or file a shipping damage claim. If your product is not working correctly due to the damages that occurred during shipping and you have kept the original shipping materials, please contact us so that we may submit a shipping insurance claim. Once we have confirmed that you still have the original shipping materials and that the items was damaged during shipping, and after we have officially filed the shipping insurance claim form, we will send out new parts or a new product at no cost to you.
4. You've Received the Product but You've Decided You Want to Return It
Returns are allowed within 14 days of delivery. If you receive an item and decide to return it, you may do so if and only if all of the following requirements are met:
1.) The item must be in its original, unused condition, and still in the original packaging.
2.) You must contact us to notify us that you'd like to return the item within 14 days of delivery.
3.) You MUST contact us to get Return Authorization and return instructions PRIOR to returning the item.
If the above 3 conditions are met, we will issue a refund that is equal to the purchase price of the item, less the actual shipping charges (both ways) and less a 25% restocking fee. If you return an item without all three of the above requirements being met, no refund will be issued.
Returns will be inspected prior to issuing a refund.
5. You Refuse the Delivery of Your Order and It Comes Back to Us
If you refuse an item and it comes back to us, you will be issued a refund LESS the actual shipping charges (both ways) and less a 25% restocking fee.
